GASLIGHT
THEATRE
7010 E. Broadway • Tucson, Arizona 85710
(520) 886-9428
When Gaslight Theater began in 1977, it moved from Tucson to Alaska.
At that time the melodrama company was called The Mighty Moose Melodrama
Theatre. After a short time it was discovered that Tucson was probably
a better place to live so the troupe moved back home where the weather
and the audiences were more to their liking.
Once back home, and with a new name (Gaslight Theatre) they opened
in Trail Dust Town with 100 seats. In 1980 they moved into a new place
built for them with 223 seats. In 1990 they moved for what they hope
will be the last time.
Today you can enjoy booing the villain and cheering the hero as he
saves the damsel in distress while enjoying popcorn, drinks, pizza,
ice cream and popcorn. They also added a new dimension … Little
Anthony’s Diner.
Little Anthony’s Diner is a real throwback to the 50’s
where everything was cool and life was good. If you eat there, expect
to join in the sing-alongs or watch the staff dance in the aisles.
Gaslight Theatre has become a tradition with many families and groups
for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays or, … just because. Try
it … you just might like it!!!!
